New: Round Table 8 outcome - Good Governance and the Role of Civil Society
This policy brief is part of the outcome of the Round Table 8 on Good Governance and the Role of Civil Society.
From the publication it becomes clear that good governance is an ideal which is difficult to achieve in its totality. Very few countries and societies have come close to achieving good governance in its totality. However, to ensure sustainable human development, actions must be taken to work towards this ideal with the aim of making it a reality. The paper tries to adress this issue and sets out a clear overview of good goverance.

Round Table 7 outcome - International migration and its social and economic development impact and refugees
Policy Brief “The influence of large remittance inflows on the economic behaviour of rural households. The case of Moldova” prepared by CASE – Center for Social and Economic Research.
The main objective of the policy brief is to give suggestions and policy recommendations to the decision makers in Moldova to ensure a productive use of large amounts of remittances coming into Moldova. It will give a focus on the social and economic impact of migration in rural Moldova. It looks specifically at the influence of large remittance inflows on the economic wellbeing and behaviour of rural households. This brief is addressed to NGO’s – first of all to raise awareness of NGDO’s in NMS on MFA’s who are responsible for the planning and implementation of development cooperation in developing countries as Moldova. By providing information on this subject, we expect that this case study can contribute to raise awareness on the negative effect of migration.

Round Table 3 outcome - Hungary’s International Development Co-operation Policy in time of crisis
In our globalising world the international development co-operation policy is not exempt from the effects of the global economic crisis of 2008. On the one hand, the financial and economic crisis has raised the demand for aid. On the other hand, the opportunities of aid providers, including the emerging donors have been dramatically constrained.
The issues to consider are how the manoeuvring room of Hungary's international development co-operation policy will change, to what extent it can fulfil its international commitments and the expectations of the donors respectively and to what extent it will be able to implement its developing strategic goals during the upcoming years of the crisis.

Round Table 5 outcome - PCD: a practical guide (Polish)
We hope this manual will serve as a work of reference for all those working in shaping European policies and Europe’s role in the world. We do realize policies cannot be changed overnight. But by providing insight into the ‘art’ of Policy Coherence for Development, we hope policy makers will become aware of the impact each of them can make to further enhance the effectiveness of development policies.
This manual is published within the framework of the EU Coherence Programme, a project initiated by the Evert Vermeer Foundation for international solidarity, in close cooperation with CONCORD, the European NGO Confederation for Relief and Development. The EU Coherence Programme aims to enhance Policy Coherence for Development in the EU institutions and the Member States and works together with a broad coalition of non-governmental organizations, both in Europe and the developing countries.

Round Table 4 outcome - Media Toolkit: How to Improve your Communication with the Media
How to improve your communication with the media
A guide for non-governmental organisations.
THIS SIMPLE GUIDE is primarily intended for non-governmental organizations in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia to help you improve your communication with journalists and draw attention to all those socially important topics which are often absent in the news.
TO IMPROVE YOUR COOPERATION WITH THE MEDIA, you need to know how the media organizations work and how the journalists think. Especially in situations when you want to address the media and general public through the new communication technologies (otherwise known as the new media).
THIS GUIDE WILL HELP ANSWER COMMON QUESTIONS raised by the NGO community, such as: how can you make and keep journalists interested in development aid? How can NGOs become an irreplaceable source of information for the media? How can you write a great story, which will grab the attention of your first external reader – the journalist?
The authors Daniela Balážová and Vladimíra Bukerová wish you a successful cooperation with the media – the old and the new ones.

On this occasion, the national platforms for development cooperation of the Visegrád countries (Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia) representing more than 150 civil society organisations, urge the Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) to contribute to the EU taking its responsibility in the world. Krajowe strategie pomocy Co zrobić, aby pomoc rozwojowa była skuteczna i korzystna dla Polski i jej partnerów
Wraz z wejściem Polski do OECD, a potem do Unii Europejskiej nasz kraj dołączył do największego grona dawców pomocy dla krajów mniej rozwiniętych gospodarczo.
