Round Table 7 outcome - International migration and its social and economic development impact and refugees Policy Brief “The influence of large remittance inflows on the economic behaviour of rural households. The case of Moldova” prepared by CASE – Center for Social and Economic Research. The main objective of the policy brief is to give suggestions and policy recommendations to the decision makers in Moldova to ensure a productive use of large amounts of remittances coming into Moldova. It will give a focus on the social and economic impact of migration in rural Moldova. It looks specifically at the influence of large remittance inflows on the economic wellbeing and behaviour of rural households. This brief is addressed to NGO’s – first of all to raise awareness of NGDO’s in NMS on MFA’s who are responsible for the planning and implementation of development cooperation in developing countries as Moldova.
