Round Table 2 outcome: Manifesto (Czech, Slovak, Polish, Hungarian, English)

The European Union and its Responsibility in the World
Appeal to the Candidates of the 2009 European Parliament Elections

In June 2009, citizens of the 27 Member States of the European Union (EU) will elect their representatives to the European Parliament (EP) for the 2009-2014 term. On this occasion, the national platforms for development cooperation of the Visegrád countries (Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia) representing more than 150 civil society organisations, urge the Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) to contribute to the EU taking its responsibility in the world. This call is simultaneously made by CONCORD, the European confederation of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working in international development, emergency relief and development education, which represents more than 1600 civil society organisations supported by millions of European citizens.

The Manifesto is available in Czech, Slovak. Polish, Hungarian and English language.
