New: Round Table 8 outcome - Good Governance and the Role of Civil Society
This policy brief is part of the outcome of the Round Table 8 on Good Governance and the Role of Civil Society.
From the publication it becomes clear that good governance is an ideal which is difficult to achieve in its totality. Very few countries and societies have come close to achieving good governance in its totality. However, to ensure sustainable human development, actions must be taken to work towards this ideal with the aim of making it a reality. The paper tries to adress this issue and sets out a clear overview of good goverance.

Round Table 3 outcome - Hungary’s International Development Co-operation Policy in time of crisis
In our globalising world the international development co-operation policy is not exempt from the effects of the global economic crisis of 2008. On the one hand, the financial and economic crisis has raised the demand for aid. On the other hand, the opportunities of aid providers, including the emerging donors have been dramatically constrained.
The issues to consider are how the manoeuvring room of Hungary's international development co-operation policy will change, to what extent it can fulfil its international commitments and the expectations of the donors respectively and to what extent it will be able to implement its developing strategic goals during the upcoming years of the crisis.
