Good Governance and the role of Civil Society and Evaluations: Lessons Learned

Objectives:

To learn what is good governance and why is it important for economic and social development.

To understand what are the key aspects of good governance, and are these universal or relative to individual countries.

To gain knowledge of how good governance can be promoted in transition to more open and democratic societies. The role of civil society in good governance.

To evaluate the project in a sufficient manner: what are the lessons learned and how to continue.

Outcomes:

Participants gained knowledge on governance and the role of civil society in social, economical and political development. Participants improved their capacities in the field of evaluation of the project and how will it help them in their work. Participants shared their new knowledge with colleagues and peers.
